On the monday, supreme court bench under the head of chief justice S.A. Bobde, gave notice to the whatsapp and facebook for their privacy policy. This plea had been filed by the two students.
During the hearing of this plea, supreme court said to whatsapp and facebook that your companies may be 2-3 billion dollars but the privacy of public is more important than your company and this is our right to protect the privacy of the public.
Whatsapp use to read the interchanging of messages between two whatsapp users. But whatsapp said that they don't read any messages of their users. Then supreme court said that they should give us this in written form and also clear their policy on data sharing.
