The T20 World Cup final will be played between New Zealand and Australia. Both the teams won their semi-final matches in an interesting manner. Kane Williamson led New Zealand beat England in the semi-final by 5 wickets (6 balls left) and Australia beat Pakistan by 5 wickets (6 balls left).
Although both the teams were not the strong contenders of T20 World Cup despite they reached in the final. They showed their great cricketing skills during the tournament. New Zealand and Australia are the neighbour countries and final match between both the teams would be very interesting.
In the semi-final, New Zealand's James Neesham played a good and speedy innings against England and took his team to near the target. He scored 27 in just 11 balls despite he didn't celebrate the win and said that the work is still left in the tournament. New Zealand lost only one game in the group stage from Pakistan.
Before this T20 World Cup final, New Zealand has reached in the final of 2015 ODI World Cup, 2019 ODI World Cup, 2020-2021 World Test Championship. As we know, New Zealand couldn't win 2015 and 2019 ODI World Cup. In 2015 World Cup, New Zealand and Australia were the finalists and Australia won in that semi-final. Now, New Zealand will try to take the revenge of that loss in this T20 World Cup final.
In 2019 ODI World Cup, Kane Williamson led New Zealand again faced defeat from England. In the 2020-2021 World Test Championship, New Zealand beat India in the final and becomes the first Test Champion. New Zealand's opener Daryll Mitchell is in good form. He became player of the match in semi-final.
On the other hand, Australia is also a strong team whose players can easily handle the pressure which we have seen in the semi-final against Pakistan. Even the bowlers of Australia have the capability to do good batting. Australia's wicket-keeper Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis made the partnership of 81 run which led their team to win in the semi-final. Matthew Wade made speedy 41 runs in just 17 balls.
In the 19th over, Hassan Ali dropped his catch on the bowl of Shaheen Afridi. Then, Wade hit three sixes and Australia won by 5 wickets. Australia's prominent player David Warner is also in good form.
Australia has won 5 ODI World Cups so far but it hasn't won any T20 World Cup like New Zealand. Both the teams will give tough competition to each other in the final and will try to win their maiden T20 World Cup.
