The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on saturday that the remaining matches of Vivo IPL will held in UAE (United Arab Emirates) from third week of september. This decision has been taken by BCCI after the virtual Special General Meeting (SGM). All the members unanimously agreed to resume IPL in UAE.

Decision about ICC T20 cricket world cup has also been taken in the meeting. BCCI took UAE as a backup venue for T20 World cup. BCCI said that they will request to the ICC to wait for atleast one more month before taking final call. This year, T20 World cup is to be held in India but due to Covid-19 pandemic, situation is not good in India.

BCCI said that remaining 29 matches of Vivo IPL season 14 will held in september in UAE because in this month, monsoon remains on peak in India. 31 IPL matches have been played in India so far. Due to second wave of Covid-19 in India, rest matches of IPL had been postponed.

Last year, because of Covid-19 pandemic, IPL season 13 had also been played in UAE. IPL 13 had been played in the absence of audience in the stadium. IPL season 14 is set to restart after India's five matches test series in England which will conclude on september 14.

There is some different craze about IPL in all over the world. People desperately wait for IPL every year. That's why, it hasn't been cancelled but postponed to september. Last year IPL was also held in september. IPL fans don't decline either it held in may-june or september-october.
