History of Friendship Day
First time, Friendship day was celebrated in 1930 by the founder of Hallmark Cards, Joyce Hall. It was observed on August 2 and most of the countries in Asia celebrates this day on August 2. Friendship day was finalised by United Nations General Assembly on April 27, 2011 to celebrate this day every year on July 30. From the year 2011 onwards, this day is being celebrated every year in the world.
