 Covid-19 cases are rapidly increasing in the maharashtra. By seeing this spike in cases, maharashtra government has decided to impose night curfew and weekend lockdown in the state. On sunday, more than 11000 cases are found only in mumbai.

Few days ago, CM of maharashtra had said that he will impose lockdown in the state for controlling covid situation. Finally, he takes this step on sunday night. From monday onwards, night curfew will impose from 8 pm to 7 am on weekdays. There would be weekend lockdown from friday 8 pm to 7 am of monday.

During night curfew, only essential services will remain open like grocery stores, drug stores, vegetable shops, diaries and other medical services. Banking, insurance and telecommunication will also be exempted from restrictions.

All schools, colleges and other educational institutions will remain closed. Private job workers will do work from home. They can't go on their workplaces for doing work. Public offices will remain open but only with the 50% capacity of staff.

All parks, malls, shrines, multiplexes, gyms, bars, restaurants and other eateries will also be closed. Only parcels and takeaways are allowed. Hair salons and beauty parlours will also remain shut. Gatherings of five or more persons will also be prohibited.

No one can travel freely during the lockdown and curfew. Only the person who needs essential services can travel after giving the valid reason. Trains, buses, flights and auto-rickshaws to continue but with 50% capacity. Agriculture, construction and development works will be continued.

Workers of shops are need to take vaccine and then open the shops. All home delivery personnel also need to be vaccinated according to the centre's rules. Negative coronavirus report will be valid upto 15 days. Maharashtra government strictly said that who will not follow these norms, fine of Rs. 10000 will be imposed on them.
