Amid covid surge, delhi government has imposed night curfew in delhi. Night curfew will be place from 10 pm to 5 am till 30th april,2021. ANI has tweeted about this. Essential services will remain running during the curfew.
Covid-19 situation is getting worsen in the country. Delhi has reported 3548 new covid-19 cases and 15 deaths on monday. 2936 people have recovered from covid. More than 90000 cases have been coming in India for three consecutive days.
Any person who wants to be vaccinated are exempted from night curfew. Essential services like groceries, vegetables, fruits, milk and other medical services are also exempted from curfew. Print and media workers are also free from curfew but only when they have e- pass.
Delhi government said that night curfew is applicable to the movement of people but not to the movement of essential goods and services.
Trains, buses, metros, taxis, auto- rickshaws are also exempted from curfew. E- pass is also required to them for travelling. Any passenger who wants to pick train or flight can go during curfew by showing their tickets. Doctors, nurses and paramedical staff are also exempted but only if they have valid ID proof.
The pregnant women and patients are also exempted from curfew. Delhi government imposed night curfew but essential services will be free from this curfew.
Arvind kejriwal want to increase the vaccination drive. Testing has been ramped up in the state. Apart from delhi, curfew and lockdown has been imposed in many other states like in Maharashtra, Punjab, Odisha, Rajasthan and Gujarat for the check on covid-19.
