Google Doodle informs that UEFA Euro 2020 is going to start

 First match of Euro 2020 will be held between Italy and Turkey in the Rome's Stadio Olimpico in front of 16,000 fans.

oogle informs to the public through its doodle that UEFA Euro 2020 football championship is going to start. Google  showing football in the 'O' word of google, referee's whistle and buildings in the doodle. UEFA Euro was being scheduled from 12 june to 12 july, 2020 but due to Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed and rescheduled from 12 june to 12 july, 2021. Although Euro cup is taking place in 2021 but the name would retain same 'Euro 2020'.

This tournament is also known as mini World cup. First time, this tournament was held in the year 1960. Since 1960, football fans have been watching Euro tournament. First match of Euro 2020 will be held between Italy and Turkey in the Rome's Stadio Olimpico in front of 16,000 fans.

This is the first time when 11 host cities across the Europe will held all the 51 matches of the tournament. There are total 24 teams in the tournament and 4 teams in each from 6 groups.

 Dublin and Bilbao were dropped from the list of host cities as they couldn't meet the UEFA requirement of accommodating limited number of spectators. But Seville took the place of Bilbao and Dublin's matches went to London and Saint Petersburg.

From most of the 11 venues, only a partial fans would be allowed in the stadium after wearing mask. Munich aims to host a minimum of 14,500 fans which is 22 percent capacity of Allianz Arena's. Although, Denmark announced on thursday that it would allow 25,000 fans instead of 16,000 in Capenhagen but wearing mask would be mandatory.

Google honours the special persons, days, events and historical incident through doodle. On friday, Google marks the beginning of UEFA Euro 2020 via doodle, it means Euro Cup is popular worldwide and people are eagerly waiting for this.

Football fans of India can watch this tournament on Sony ten, Sony Six and also on the OTT platform Sony liv. This is a thirty day tournament and on most of the days, three matches will be taken place in one day.

Matches will be played in a limited crowds and strict health restrictions will be in place during the tournament matches because the shadow of Covid-19 is still on the Euro 2020.
