Mandira Bedi's husband Raj Kaushal dies at the age of 49 due to cardiac arrest

 In 1998, he started his own Advertising Production Company and directed over 800 commercials. In 1999, Raj Kaushal and Mandira Bedi got married.

Film producer, director and writer Raj Kaushal, husband of Mandira Bedi dies on wednesday morning. He died at the age of 49 due to cardiac arrest. Filmmaker Onir who has worked with Raj Kaushal in 2005 in the film 'My Nikhil, brother' gave the information about his death. He tweeted, "Gone too soon. We lost Film maker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul."

Rohit Roy, the close friend of Raj Kaushal expressed his condolences on the death of his friend. He tweeted, "One of my oldest, closest friends passes by and I can’t even be there at the funeral…can’t even see him okie last time…can’t pay my respects in person…and people think an actors job is all cushy and fun! It’s the most unenviable job in the world at times… @rajkaushal1 RIP

Neha Dhupia expressed condolences on the death of Raj Kaushal. She posted a photo of group of friends in which Raj Kaushal can also be seen. She wrote in the caption on instagram, "Raj , we took this picture to create more and more memories… can’t believe you are nt with us anymore … Mandira , my strong strong girl, I am at a loss of words. My heart belongs to Vir and Tara ❤️ … I’m shaken up and in shock and disbelief as I write this , RIP Raj"

Many other actors, actresses, producers, directors and writers expressed condolences on the untimely death of Raj Kaushal. His funeral took place at Shivaji ground, Mumbai on wednesday afternoon.

Raj Kaushal was started his career as a Copywriter. He also worked as assistant of Mukul Anand and Subhash Ghai. He helmed three films in his career- Pyaar mein kabhie kabhie, Shaadi ka ladoo and Anthony kaun hai.

In 1998, he started his own Advertising Production Company and directed over 800 commercials. In 1999, Raj Kaushal and Mandira Bedi got married. They welcomed their first son Vir in 2011. They also adopted daughter Tara in july last year.

Raj Kaushal is survived by his wife Mandira Bedi and two children Vir and Tara.
