World Pharmacists Day 2021:- Know the Theme, History and Significance

 International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) has decided the theme of World Pharmacists Day 2021- "Pharmacy: Always Trusted for Your Health." FIP was established in 1912.

World Pharmacists Day was started in 2009

Every year September 25 is observed as World Pharmacists Day. This day marks the importance of Pharmacists who play a key role in improving World health.

International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) had established this day. FIP is the International Federation which works in the field of Pharmaceuticals.

Theme of World Pharmacists Day 2021

International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) has decided the theme of World Pharmacists Day 2021- "Pharmacy: Always Trusted for Your Health." According to the FIP, Trust is the essential element in all the human relationships and the key element of social capitalist. 

Trust is also the basic element in healthcare professionals and the patients. If patients trust the healthcare professionals then there is a great possibility of better outcome for patients. They show early recovery, more beneficial medical behaviour, fewer symptoms and overall better quality of life.

History of World Pharmacists Day


World Pharmacists Day was started in 2009 by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Council meeting in Istanbul, Turkey. September 25 was chosen as the date for this day because International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) was established on the same date in 1912.

Significance of World Pharmacists Day

Pharmacists have the major role in the field of healthcare. Pharmacists use their knowledge, experience and skills for providing better life to the World. Medication and drugs field can't even imagine without pharmacists.

They make aware to the World about the benefits of medicine, their side-effects, limit of usage, mobility etc.

World Pharmacists Day promotes the work of pharmacists and make aware the people to recognise their role in promoting the good health of the World which leads to a better society.
