Air quality report:- Corona lockdowns improved air quality, Delhi is most polluted capital in world

 


Switzerland's company IQAir has shown the report of world air quality 2020 on tuesday. This report is based on PM 2.5 data in 106 countries.

With the stoppage of economic and social activities in lockdown, air quality of India improved at some extent. Despite, 22 cities are from India out of 30 most polluted cities.

Lockdown improved the 15% air quality of delhi in 2020 as compared to 2019. In spite of that, delhi is 10th most polluted city and one of the most polluted capitals in the world.

In the air quality report, China's Xinjiang city is most polluted. After that 9 cities are from India. Ghaziabad is the second most polluted city.

From the most polluted cities, 10 are from UP. In India, apart from Ghaziabad, bulandshahar, bisrakh jalalpur, lucknow, muzaffarnagar, kanpur, noida, greater noida, agra, meerut, bhiwari of rajasthan, haryana's faridabad, jind, hisar, yamunanagar, fatehabad, bandhwari, gurugram, rohtak and dharuhera, muzaffarpur of bihar are the most polluted cities.

After the lockdowns, air quality is again getting bad. Coal burning, stubble burning, electricity making, transportation, industries etc. are the main reasons for air pollution.
