2021-22 BUDGET OF PUNJAB

 Congress shows its last budget in Punjab before 2022 elections. Government of Punjab makes many announcements in this budget. Government shows the budget of Rs. 168015 crore. Following are some key points of 2021-22 budget:-

1. 40 lakh shopkeepers can open their shops for 24 hours. It can give profits to small businessmen.
2. 1.48 crore ladies in Punjab can travel free in government buses. Government will spend Rs. 170 crore for this purpose.
3. The pensions of elderly gets double. Now, they would receive Rs. 1500 pension instead of Rs. 750. Pensions of freedom fighters kin also increase to Rs.9400 from Rs. 7500.
4. Loan pardon for farmers and labourers. Government will spend Rs. 1712 crore for 16.50 lakh farmers and labourers in Punjab.
5. From july onwards, 3.5 lakh government employees will start getting sixth pay commission. Government reserved Rs. 9000 crore for this purpose.
6. Government has increased the amount of punjabi literature ratan from 10 to 20 lakh. Amount of Shiromani award has also increased from 5 to 10 lakh.
7. Rs. 500 crore for the betterment of cities.
8. New fund named Pankenda launches for increasing forest area in Punjab.
9. Rs. 1600 crore for the smart cities.
10. Guidance to the youth for making career after 10th and +2.
11. Government of Punjab increased the health budget from 4675 crore to 7856 crore. After learning from Covid-19, Government reserved Rs. 1008 crore for the medical research.
12. Rs. 3780 crore reserved for the plan 'Successful farmer, Joyful Punjab'. Stubble burning problem, gardening, save water save money, animal husbandry includes in this plan.
