Farmers have been protesting at delhi borders since 4 months against the three farm laws. On 26th march, farmers protest completes 120 days. On this date, they announced 12 hours bharat bandh from 6 am to 6 pm.
All highways, railway tracks, petrol pumps, shops will remain shut. There may be stoppage of supply of fruits and vegetables. Farmers unions urged businessmen, shopkeepers, labours and truck unions to help them in this bharat bandh.
All essential services like milk, hospitals, medical services,ambulance, factories, vehicles of army will not face any difficulty during the bharat bandh.
Punjab government has deployed 7000 police officers for maintaining peace during the strike. They will ensure that everyone is following laws or not.
Last time, on 8th december, 2020 farmers unions had closed the India which was not so successful because some states like uttar pradesh and uttarakhand was not the part of that bandh. But this time, all the states will remain shut, farmers said.
Opposition is also supporting farmers unions in this bharat bandh. They are urging to the people of India to help in making this successful. There may be more impact on punjab and haryana of this bharat bandh.
Central government made three new farm laws for the farmers but farmers are saying that these laws are against them. They also want minimum support price (MSP) in written form. Government and farmers unions were held many meetings but most of them were being remained fruitless.
Now, we have to see that how successful this bharat bandh will be. Will it become useful for farmers or not who are protesting at delhi borders.
