CM Uddhav thackeray imposed lockdown like stricter curbs in maharashtra

Maharashtra government imposed janta curfew from 8 pm today to 7 am 1st may

CM of maharashtra Uddhav thackeray has taken a big step after witnessing covid-19 cases in the state. Covid cases are rapidly surging in the state. 60212 new covid-19 cases found in maharashtra and 281 fatalities. After witnessing this, Uddhav thackeray imposed lockdown like stricter curbs in the state. He said that he will not impose lockdown but he will impose janta curfew. Janta curfew will come into effect from 8 pm today and will remain in effect till 7 am of 1st may.

Oxygen beds, ventilators and space in hospitals are declining and the demand of remdesivir is regularly increasing. Essential goods are exempted from this janta curfew. CM appealed to the opposition parties to come together in this matter because it is not the time of politics.

Section 144 imposed in maharashtra

  • According to section 144, five or more than five persons can not do get together.
  • Transport on public places will also be prohibited.
  • All public places, educational institutions, offices will remain closed.
  • Local authorities will witness the local work and according to that they will take any action.
  • No one can move on the roads without any valid reason.
Essential services exempted from curfew

  • Essential services like vegetable shops, diaries, fruits are exempted from this curfew.
  • Maufacturing of sanitisers, masks, ventilators, ancillaries etc.
  • RBI and the works of RBI exempted.
  • SEBI and the stock exchanges, intermediaries.
  • Postal srevices.
  • Import and export of goods and services.
  • Grocery shops will remain open.
  • Manufacturing and warehousing services will remain running.
  • Hospitals, dispensaries, clinics, pharmaceuticals, medicines are also exempted.
  • Veterinaries and animal husbandry.
  • Ambulances and pregnant women.
  • Agriculture works are also exempted.
  • ATM's will remain open.
  • Cargo services.
  • Public and private security services.
  • Port and related services.
  • Public and private transport will run only with certain conditions like with 50% capacity.
Restrictions during curfew

  • State board exams of 10 and 12 are postponed.
  • All schools, colleges and private institutions will remain closed.
  • All cinema halls will be closed.
  • Shooting of films, serials and advertisements are restricted.
  • Amusement parks, water parks.
  • Shopping malls, gyms, swimming pools, theatres, auditoriums.
  • Beauty parlours, spa, salons, barbers.
  • Beaches, gardens and open spaces to remain closed.
  • Worship places will also remain closed.
  • Political rallies can get together only 200 persons and 50% capacity in the halls.
