In 24 hours, 2979 new covid-19 cases found in punjab. 65 covid patients lost their lives. Total 7013 covid patients have lost their lives in punjab so far. Captain Amarinder Singh showed worry on rising covid cases. He said that if the situation of covid-19 does not improve then weekend lockdown is the option. Taking strict actions are not good but it is necessary for saving the lives of people.
On saturday, most of the people meet each others, he said. If people will follow covid-19 protocols like social distancing, wearing mask and sanitisation then we can control the covid pandemic.
He advised the people to get the covid vaccine. Punjab government has agreed that NRI's played a big role in spreading second strain of covid-19. That's why CM of punjab ordered to all districts that if any NRI comes from out of India and finds infection in that person then that person would immediately send to covid centre.
In the review meeting, Captain Amarinder Singh wants to ensure covid protocols in hotels and restaurants. First of all, give warning to all hotel and restaurant owners, despite if they don't follow covid protocols then strict action should be taken on them. Before booking about covid guidelines, take assurance from them in writing that they are following covid-19 guidelines.
Following restrictions will remain in the punjab state:-
- All educational institutions will remain closed till 10th april.
- All restaurants, cinema houses, multiplexes, malls will remain closed on every sunday. Home delivery service will remain open.
- Cinema houses will remain running with 50% capacity.
- Only 100 persons can enter in malls at anytime.
- Full restrictions on every type of social events except marriages and funerals but only 20 persons are allowed in these events.
- 9pm to 5 am night curfew will remain in 11 districts.
- Wearing mask is important on social places and during travelling.
- Number of guests should not be more than 10 in homes.
