Jharkhand government imposed lockdown from 22 april to 29 april |
CM of jharkhand Hemant soren imposed full lockdown in jharkhand from 22 april to 29 april. Amid surge in covid cases, government has taken this step. Lockdown will be effective from 6 am 22 april to 6 am 29 april. This week will be considered as a health safety week. This decision has been taken on the recommendation of disaster management.
Hemant soren has made official announcement about the lockdown on tuesday. During the lockdown, all shops will remain closed except essential services. Agricultural, mining and production services will be permitted.
All religious places will remain open but devotees will be banned. Section 144 will be in place there during the lockdown. Except essential central and state government offices, all other offices will remain close.
Before this announcement, Hemant soren held a meeting with senior officials. Chief secretary Sukhdev singh, municipal development secretary Vinay choubey and principal secretary to the chief minister Rajiv arun ekka were present at the meeting.
Inter state and intra state movement of vehicles would not be prohibited. Gatherings of more than 5 persons will be prohibited during the lockdown. Government would give special treatment to the migrant workers.
Yesterday, delhi government has announced week long lockdown in delhi amid rapid surge in covid-19 cases. India has been reporting more than 2.50 lakh covid-19 cases for 3-4 days.
