UNILEVER will remove word 'normal' from its personal care brand

FMCG company Unilever will remove word 'normal' from its all packaging and advertisements. Unilever also announced that it would not alter any person's body shape, size and skin colour in the brand advertising. It is a step towards being more inclusive.

Using 'normal' word for hairs and skin like 'normal hairs' and 'normal skin' may make some people feel inferior. Packaging will change on more than 200 hair and skin-care products like dove, suave, vaseline, axe etc. This shift comes after several of the company's advertising campaigns sparked a backlash.

Recently, Unilever has also made change in its beauty cream. It changed the name of cream from 'Fair & Lovely' to 'Glow & Lovely'. Unilever had taken this step after the protest of black lives matter in America.
