very year, mother's day is being celebrated all over the world for cherising and honouring  the mother. Mother is the only one who loves her child without any selfishness. Mother gives birth to the baby after holding the baby 9 months in her stomach. Everyone loves the baby after the birth but mother starts loving before the birth when the baby remains in her stomach.

When is mother's day celebrated ?

There is no any specific date of mother's day but it usually celebrated on the second sunday of may in India. This year, mother's day will be celebrated on may 9. In many countries, it is being celebrated on 21st march. Greece celebrates this day on feb 2.

History of mother's day

It is said that this day was began to celebrate in U.S., when a woman named Anna Jarvis wanted to commemorate the day in the memory of mother because her own mother was expressed this desire.

When her mother passed away, she took the initiative after three year's of her mother's death and held a memorial in the year 1908. It was done at St Andrew's Methodist church in West Virginia. It is said that she didn't attend it and she sent a telegram to the attendees, highlighting the importance of the day along with five hundred white carnations.

Significance of the day

We need to celebrate it everyday. No one can express the love and warmth of mother in words. Everyday is mother's day because mother's love don't reduce and increase according to the day. Mother's love always remain same for their childrens. She not only love their childrens but she also take care of her whole family. 

Mother's day remind us the importance of mother's love and the pain she bears at the time of her child's birth. Mother takes second place in everyone's life after the GOD. People give gifts and flower bouquets to mother on this day.
