Happy Krishna Janamashtami 2021:- This year Krishna Janamashtami is being observed on August 30, Monday. This day marks the birth of Lord Krishna. Janamashtami comes on eighth day of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Shraavana of Bhadrapad. There is a great importance of Janamashtami in the Hindu culture.

Lord Krishna was the child of Devaki and Vasudeva. Krishna was born at midnight at Mathura inside the prison cell where his parents were lodged. According to the Mythology, Lord Krishna was the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. As Krishna was unsecured at Mathura because of King Kansa. That's why Krishna's father took him to village near Mathura where he grew up with his foster parents Nanda and Yashoda and siblings Balarama and Subhadra.

People perform acts and dance in the costume of Lord Krishna and Radha. Different events and programmes are being held and the team of people beat Dahi Handi on this day. Dahi Handi is one of the most significant events of Janamashtami. In Mathura and Vrindavan, Krishna Janamashtami is celebrated with full of enthusiasm as these religious places belong to Lord Krishna.
