In the 37th match of T20 World Cup, India beat Scotland by 8 wickets (81 balls left). It increases India's net run rate and now India surpassed the Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup points table. In Group B, India is on 3rd position now after Pakistan and New Zealand.

India's hope to qualify for the semi-final is still alive. On November 7, if Afghanistan beats New Zealand then there is full chance of India's qualification. Although New Zealand is very strong team but India hopes that Afghanistan must win in that game.

In the match against Scotland, India's captain and birthday boy Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first and this decision proved very beneficial when India's bowlers took wickets over wickets of Scotland's batters.

No batter of Scotland could score even more than 25 because India's bowlers did very good and skillful bowling. George Munsey (24), Michael Leask (19) and Calum MacLeod (16) are the highest scoreres of Scotland.

India's Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets and became the player of the match. Besides Jadeja, Mohammad Shami also took 3 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets whereas Ravichandran Ashwin took 1 wicket. Varun Chakravarthy couldn't take any wicket but he too bowled well.

With the help of India's bowlers, India all out for 85 runs to Scotland in 17.4 overs and the rest work has been done by India's openers. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul hit a huge shots from the very beginning. Rohit Sharma made 30 scores in 16 balls with the help of 5 fours and a six.

KL Rahul hit a fastest fifty in just 18 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. Almost whole work has been done by the openers in powerplay and Suryakumar Yadav finished the game by hitting a straight six. India scored 89/2 runs in just 6.3 overs.
